Camden LETS

Introduction

Camden LETS is a not-for-profit organisation that has been going since April 1997. It is run by members for the benefit of members. If you live or work in the London borough of Camden, you are entitled to join.

LETS stands for Local Exchange Trading Scheme. A group of people get together to exchange services or goods amongst themselves, using a local currency. No cash is used, except for a small annual fee of £7.50 or £6 for concessions. It’s an alternative monetary system. And it’s fun!

By joining a LETS scheme you can get things you need, do favours for people and make friends along the way. In Camden we have over 50 members, doing gardening, giving massage, making bread, giving lifts to the shops, DIY, typing and more.
